ETHANOL
Ethanol is obtained naturally by fermentation through same relevant distillation of agricultural raw materials such as Sugar Canes, Sugar Beets and Cereals. It is one of the most commonly used products in various industries such as Transportation (as fuel), Pharmaceutical, Perfumery, Cosmetics, Beverages, Detergents and Household Products, amongst many others.
Methanol
Methanol is a nondrinking type of alcohol (also known as wood alcohol and methyl alcohol) which is mostly used to create fuel, solvents and antifreeze. A colorless liquid, it is volatile, flammable, and unlike ethanol, poisonous for human consumption.
denatonium Benzonate (Bitrex)
Denatonium, usually available as denatonium benzoate (Bitrex or Aversion) and as denatonium saccharide (BITTERANT-s), is the most bitter chemical compound known, with bitterness thresholds of 0.05 ppm for the benzoate and 0.01 ppm for the saccharide. It was discovered in 1958 during research on local anesthetics by MacFarlan Smith of Edinburgh, Scotland, and registered under the trademark Bitrex.
sucrose octaacetate (SOC)
Sucrose octaacetate is a chemical compound an eight-fold ester of sucrose and acetic acid. Its molecule can be described as that of sucrose with its eight hydroxyl groups HO– replaced by acetate groups. It is a crystalline solid, colorless and odorless but intensely bitter.
Sucrose octaacetate is used as an inert ingredient in pesticides and herbicides, as a bitter additive.
Tert Butyl Alchol (TBA)
Tert-butanol is a tertiary alcohol alcohol that is isobutane substituted by a hydroxy group at position 2. It has a role as a human xenobiotic metabolite. It derives from a hydride of an isobutane.
Tert-butyl alcohol is a colorless oily liquid with a sharp alcohol odor. Floats and mixes with water. Produces irritating vapor. Freezing point is 78°F.
iso propyl alcohol (IpA)
Isopropyl alcohol (IUPAC name propan-2-ol; commonly called isopropanol or 2-propanol) is a colorless, flammable chemical compound (chemical formula CH3CHOHCH3) with a strong odor.
Isopropyl alcohol is mixed with water for use as a rubbing-alcohol antiseptic. It is also used in aftershave lotions, hand lotions, and other cosmetics. In industry it is used as an inexpensive solvent for cosmetics, drugs, shellacs, and gums, as well as for denaturing ethanol (ethyl alcohol).
